Torr Scientific were delighted to take part in a small science Fair held at our local sports centre in Bexhill-on-Sea.
The fair was one of many happening across the UK as part of British Science week (https://www.britishscienceweek.org/)
British Science Week was a 10-day programme of thousands of events running throughout the whole of the UK with the aim of celebrating science, engineering, technology and maths. With no restrictions on who can organise events, the topics on which they are focused, the audience or the venue, the resulting programme is a hugely varied and eclectic mix suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
Our local science fair targeted the next generation of scientists and engineers, it was a mix of local companies and societies together with young engineers who’d designed and bought along their own pet projects. One of the best examples featured a working volcano powered by a vinegar and baking soda solution.
