Torr regularly attends many exhibitions and conferences, we often take the opportunity to exhibit when we can. Having a stand at the event allows us to both meet our customers in person and to promote new and existing products. The Covid-19 epidemic has made ‘getting out there and meeting people’ even more important recently, so with this in mind we recently went to two exhibitions in the UK.
Eureka 2022 Bath University – June 2022
The event was used to showcase research in Photonics, Astrophysics, Nanoscience, and Theory from the Physics department at the University of Bath. Each of these groups gave presentations as part of the conference during the morning, individual presentations followed in the afternoon. Torr shared the exhibition space with a number of other companies from a wide range of disciplines, our stand was visited by both new and existing customers.
2022 Science & Technology Solutions Exhibition – July 2022
Held at Daresbury laboratory, Warrington in conjunction with the ‘UK Vacuum Symposium’. The event was only open to invited persons and people who worked on the Daresbury site. The symposium had moved from its usual time in November at the Vacuum Expo series of exhibitions held in Coventry to this new venue. Plans are for the symposium to be held here annually. Torr shared the exhibition space with over 40 other companies from a wide range of disciplines. Our stand was visited by both new and existing customers, it was good to be able to put a face to the name after many Zoom meetings over the past couple of years.
