New Machines purchased by Torr. Torr have just taken delivery of a new MDM-100 mill and MDL-1800 lathe from Mach Machine Tools.
Both machines are capable of being operated in CNC mode (Computer Numerically Controlled) as well as manually. This will give us great flexibility, capability, and capacity to manufacture small to medium batches and one off parts in a much more efficient and cost-effective way, compared to the machines they have replaced. They have the capability to create machining programmes via a Solidworks® step file and suitable CAM (Computer Aided Machining) conversion software. This ability will reduce programming times and reduce any errors caused by misinterpretation of drawings.
