Re-Entrant Viewports

Torr have manufactured customised re-entrant viewports in a wide range of sizes, lengths, mounting flanges, and optical materials.
The re-entrant viewport is used to insert a device directly into the vacuum system whilst it remains at atmospheric pressure.
This allows the use of devices that are not vacuum compatible to be located near to an area of interest.
Both standard grade stainless steel and non-magnetic versions are available.
When designing your re-entrant viewport, allow for the fact that it will need to pass through a vacuum seal and fit through the ID of a port tube.
On receipt of an order, we produce manufacturing drawings for all special re-entrant windows for customer approval, this ensures they are exactly to the dimensions you require.
