Torr Exhibition reports

As part of its outreach program, Torr Scientific regularly attends both local and international exhibitions and conferences.  This enables us to meet with new and existing customers and gives us a chance to showcase our range of standard and special products.  In the past few weeks we’ve attended the following events.

 

ISSC-24 Manchester, UK – April 2023

ISSC-24 was the 24^th Interdisciplinary Surface Science Conference held at Manchester University in the UK in April. It was the first time that this event had reverted back to a physical meeting, having been held online for several years due to COVID‑19 restrictions.  Our business development manager ‑ Phil Marston ‑ attended the exhibition and manned the stand.

 

ICMCTF San Diego USA – May 2023

Torr Scientific had a stand at the ICMCTF (International Conference on Metallurgical Coatings and Thin Films) held recently in San Diego, USA in May.  The event brings together delegates from all over the world to discuss topics related predominantly to thin film coatings.  We had two people attending the event, Dr. David Stupple ‑ our company scientist ‑ attended the talks, and Joel Smolka ‑ Torr’s USA representative ‑ looked after the stand.

 

Science & Technology Solutions Daresbury Laboratories, UK – June 2023

This is the second running of this event, which was first held in 2022.  The exhibition runs in tandem with the UK annual Vacuum Symposium.  The venue is a large marquee pitched in the grounds of Daresbury Laboratories. Our business development manager ‑ Phil Marston ‑ attended the exhibition and manned the stand.  We took it as an opportunity to use our new exhibition stand, which replaces the more traditional ‘pop‑up’ displays.
