Torr Scientific recently delivered a very thin optical quality diamond viewport to MAXIV in Lund, Sweden.
The diamond is 100um thick and has a clear view diameter of 4mm, it is vacuum brazed into a custom 316LN DN40CF flange.
It will be installed between the Experimental hutch and the Optical Hutch on the DanMAX beamline ( https://www.maxiv.lu.se/accelerators-beamlines/beamlines/danmax/ )
The viewport will provide vacuum protection against any leaks in the Experimental Hutch affecting the Optical Hutch when it is installed in early 2021.
