Alexandra Bratu representing Torr Scientific at the UK National Quantum Showcase event
Torr Scientific recently exhibited at the UK National Quantum Showcase event held in London in November. This UK National Quantum Showcase is an annual exhibition which has grown in size and stature over the past 5 years. Held over one day, this year there were 96 different exhibitors and over 2,000 visitors. Visitors were queuing around the block at one point to gain entry.
Exhibitors could choose from bronze, silver, and gold exhibition stands which increase in size and complexity (& price). Torr Scientific chose a bronze stand and displayed samples of their products together with literature and a few free gifts. Our stand was busy with enquiries during the day, which makes a pleasant change from many other exhibitions we’ve attended.
The venue for the event is the Business Design Centre, the BDC dates back to 1862 when the structure was designed & built to house the Smithfield Cattle Club Show, it has welcomed many different events over the years. It had a record attendance of 134,699 at one event. The site was abandoned in 1939 with the onset of World War II, it was then rescued in the 1980s just before being demolished and restored over 10 years to how it is now.
