As an upgraded addition to our CVD diamond UHV viewports, Torr Scientific also offer these exceptional optics within water cooled UHV viewports. These viewports are braze sealed into a double-sided flange.

Water cooled X-ray viewports are designed to excel within synchrotron applications that utilise low-energy x-rays.

These applications require high thermal loads on the optic, so a CVD diamond optic is the perfect choice. With high thermal conductivity this optic can dissipate the heat away from the point of contact. The addition of being water-cooled allows the viewport to efficiently remove and redirect heat away from the optic.

CVD diamond viewports are the ultimate optical material for a range of applications due to their excellent broadband optical transmission. Ranging from ultraviolet all the way into the far infrared.

There are two versions of the CVD diamond optic available, an optical version and an X-ray version. These differ by their transmission in the UV and visible ranges.

Our CVD diamond viewports are helium leak tested, cleaned and packed to UHV standards on site at Torr Scientific.
