Bakeout, conditioning & UHV test rig
Most Torr Scientific Ltd products are used for Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) applications. UHV is generally regarded as the pressure range between 10-7 mbar and 10-12 mbar. For a vacuum system to reach such extreme pressures, it is crucial for all components to be adequately cleaned. The process of cleaning ultra-high vacuum parts must minimize the residual potential sources of outgassing. Even the smallest amount of contamination could cause too much outgassing and subsequent loss of vacuum.
Aside from our usual thorough range of UHV cleaning procedures, certain customers also request their products to be vacuum baked on our bakeout, conditioning & UHV test rig. The following test documentation is available on request:
☑ RGA (residual gas analyser) leak test prior to bake
☑ RGA scan prior to bake
☑ Bakeout temperature profile
☑ Bakeout pressure profile
☑ Post-bake RGA leak test
☑ Post-bake RGA scan
We can also provide additional certificates available on request:
☑ Helium leak detector results
☑ Magnetic permeability testing
☑ Transmission curves for AR-coated optics
☑ Material certificates
☑ Manufacturing drawing
☑ Internal certificate of conformity
If you have an enquiry for OEM and non-standard UHV Optics, or X-ray and Electron Optical (XEO) products, that needs to be accompanied by thorough test documentation, you can contact us on sales@torrscientific.co.uk. We look forward to your enquiries.
* Please note that the test documentation and certificates are not included in the unit price of our products; they are chargeable services. If you would like your products to be supplied with test documentation and/or certificates, they will need to be clearly requested at the point of order.
